A Leader against the different personalities of a group
Many people feel compelled to keep going, but only one really wants to be a leader. The problem is when people think they can not become leaders because they believe that they are bound in his way. It is true that many leaders have the same compass, are charismatic characters are hustlers, but some of them in the past, were humble, shy and had the peace of mind needed to become leaders. Everything is related to the question of what people want and know how to motivate them. The last part, however, is the hardest job to take over as leader.
Motivating people is certainly not an easy task, since the ability of a person to be motivated is related to personality. When you start working with a group of people, there are certain peculiarities which must learn to balance and opposing personalities and idiosyncrasies of the group, since people are different in their tastes and attitudes. You may have to juggle different tasks. In your eagerness to please everyone, you end up not pleasing to others. So how can you work with different personalities and be able to motivate people?
First, it avoids trying to show everyone that you can meet all individual needs of the group. Although this will seem contradictory, this favor because if you give the impression that you only want to please and who believe that to survive you need to put their approval. Ever got angry when you saw someone trying to stoop in front of others to be accepted? Then think if you do as a leader, as would others. Would you benefit from this behavior?
Keep in mind that you can not please everyone. This is related to the above, no matter how hard you try, will always be enough, no matter how how you want it, you can never make an impeccable product.
This means you must keep a good pace as a leader, does not dwell on your mistakes, but learns through them. You can not move forward without leaving the past behind, instead of spending your time thinking and reflecting on what you did wrong in that report or bad what you said at that meeting, the best you can do is keep moving.
Do not be afraid to show your emotions. You are human. You can not smile all the time, think you're a fool, or you laugh all the time for anything. If you're angry with your team because they played poorly, be firm, do not be afraid to show they did a bad job and you feel disappointed. Be true to yourself and you can see that your team will be faithful to you, but do not overdo your attitudes. Be consistent attitudes according to your own essence as a person.
Prepare some rewards for members of your team. Do not stop to compare simple buttons or shirts, as if acting as a spokesperson for a corporation. Reward will be more interesting if you invite them all to go eat at a nice restaurant if they meet the goals of the group. Then we can celebrate the victory together to work on the same target, it has great value to you and for them all.
