Creating a successful business plan - Part 5 - Operations, Management Team and Staff
Operations
The operations section of the business plan describes the physical needs of your business 'operation, as your business' physical location, facilities and equipment.
He wants to show what you have done so far to get your business off the ground and demonstrate that you understand the process of manufacture or delivery of producing the product or service.
Purchase
Here, outline what products and services your business will need in order to manufacture, supply, or develop your products or services. Show where you're going to get the materials needed to produce the product or service, and explain what you have negotiated terms with suppliers.
Staffing
Specify staffing requirements your company will need for daily operation and maintenance.
Service
List each office space, warehouses, factories, etc., your activity requires to produce and sell your products and services. If necessary, including building designs, copies of leases and / or recent real estate appraisal.
Equipment
Describe the equipment needed to produce and deliver your goods, and what you need. Also include the value and cost, and explain the funding arrangements.
Manufacturing strategy
In this section, describe how your product or service is made, and identify problems that may occur in the production process. Explain the quality control measures that have established or are establishing. Outline your business day 'to day operations, such as operating hours and days the company will open.
Management Team
This section provides a profile for each member of the management team. In each profile individuals, contain background of their experience, skills and abilities. Address lack of knowledge or experience found on your management team and the solution to these problems, such as additional training. Show that you know all the problems there, and you have an action plan to deal with them.
Personal history of headteachers
Provide each member of the management team name, address, age, interests, motivations for entering the business, and special skills that complement yours.
Include each company, the underlying principles, highlighting the strengths each individual and how these strengths will help the company's success.
Give any past experience shows that your principles will be good for your success. Educational background, formal and informal learning is a good starting point.
Duties and responsibilities
Describe clearly and concisely exactly who does what and why in the field. Be sure to clearly show which will take the final decisions.
It 'a good idea to provide an organization with the chain of command and the complete list of features.
Salaries and Benefits
This section should be a simple statement, showing rate of pay for position. Provide a list of possible bonus, but be sure to stay realistic with your projections. The benefits that can possibly be providing the management team, like medical insurance, life insurance, and disability leave.
Staff
Here we describe the current personal needs, or your projected staff needs to maintain and manage their business. Also provide the projected number of employees in the near future, as well as 3-5 years down the road.
Describe what skills should have your employees, and your training plan to provide these skills.
The reader of your business plan will provide job descriptions for each position in your firm will pay for.
You will need to demonstrate that individuals are ready to start working. If you do not, explain the plan to attract potential hires for the company.
Describe how your employees will be compensated as if they are paid salary or hourly, and if you work part-time or full time.
